Spring is finally here and the rebirth of everything is absolutely beautiful.
We have gone through some changes since last year like changing our name and adding an evangelistic focus to our ministry. What we have seen is many more people reaching out to the disability community and those affected by disability being touched in greater ways.
We are working with 20 churches in the United States and heading to Poland at the end of May to share with many people there. The alarming abortion rate of babies pre-screened for Down syndrome continues to skyrocket and God has a purpose for every one of them. So, we must do all we can to teach the value God places on those affected by disability.
Luke 14 is a wonderful passage of scripture that places such emphasis on the disability community. Jesus is at the house of a church leader, just weeks before His death, healing a disabled man and telling the “Church” to reach out to those affected by disability. He even tells how to do this in verse 21; “Go out quickly…”
The Summer holidays and vacations are right around the corner and Ability Ministry must continue to reach those for Christ and our work gets going faster during this time of year.
Unfortunately, donations get slim and that’s why we do a “Spring Appeal.” Our residents at Riverwood and New Hope still need food, transportation and medicines. Your help will allow us to handle all of those needs.
So, I humbly ask for any donation above and beyond to assist us during these Summer days.
Thank you for taking the time to read this plea and I hope to hear from you.
